If you’re looking for a classic beach holiday, look no further than La Dune des Sables. The resort overlooks a large surfing beach, while a few hundred metres further on takes you to a supervised bathing beach. The nearby Fôret d’Olonne has great walking and biking trails. The well laid-out pitches are perfect for soaking up the warm Vendéen sun, while the constant sea breeze is cooling, not to mention very healthy. Take a break from the beach and relax in the superb pool, complete with waterslide and mushroom fountain.

The kids will be kept entertained by the resort ‘animateur’ who organises a range of daytime and evening fun for the whole family in July and August. Visit the old style fishing port of La Chaume and sip a cool drink in one of the many cafés dotted along the promenade.
